| Bergama Heybe (double saddlebags) from Western Anatolia. Small cobble repair to the kilim bridge but otherwise in near perfect condition. Woven in hand spun wool and dyed with deep saturated natural dyes. Part of a major UK collection that is now being sold of pieces collected in Turkish villages in the 1960's & 70's.

| "An unusual Ersari Kap. Soft, with a floppy handle, this is clearly an earlier piece than usual Ersari bags found today. It has been suggested to me that it might be a spindle bag. The piece is slightly reduce on it's four sides and has some cotton highlights in the field."
